This elegant fern caddy spoon is made from English lead-free pewter. The design is inspired by the wonderful ferns found in the Woodland Garden at Highgrove.
Pewter has been used in the home for thousands of years. Modern English pewter is 92% pure tin to which is added small amounts of other metals to give additional strength. It does not need polishing like silver and it does not go grey like old pewter (caused by the lead content). Lead-free pewter does not react with food.
