The mould for the dish has been made from a real hosta leaf. Made from English lead-free pewter which does not react with food. Designed and made in England.
Pewter has been used in the home for thousands of years. Modern English pewter is 92% pure tin to which is added small amounts of other metals to give additional strength. It does not need polishing like silver and it does not go grey like old pewter (caused by the lead content).
