The magnificent Cedar of Lebanon, which stood at the top of the Thyme Walk, was one of the principal reasons that the Prince of Wales fell in love with Highgrove and ensured that he bought the estate in 1980.
The beautiful two hundred year old Cedar tree towered above the house with its characteristic wide trunk and the spectacular horizontal branches.
Very sadly in January 2008 the tree had to be felled as it had naturally come to the end of its life. After felling, a finite supply of wood was put aside to be seasoned and has now been passionately turned by Tim Plunkett, a wood turner whose career began with the help of the Prince's Trust.
Each piece has been beautifully hand crafted into unique exceptional objects, sympathetically turned according to the individual piece of wood, therefore no single piece is the same.
Each piece has the Highgrove logo laser engraved in the base and its limited edition number. It comes in a presentation box with an Authenticity Certificate.
