The remaining warmth in the soil will help your bulbs germinate, ready to give you a flourish of colour come spring.
Apples, squash and cabbages should be ripe and ready to be eaten, make sure you get them before the frost does!
Not only will it make your garden look tidier, fallen leaves can be used as mulch for your borders.
Once your roses have finished flowering, cut them back and tie them securely to prevent them from being damaged in the unpredictable autumn weather.
Food is getting scarce this time of the year so leave fresh water, birdseed and other appropriate food out to encourage wild birds, hedgehogs and other critters into your garden.
